Service Day 2025

Community. Connection. Commitment.

15 years of giving back

On September 25, Blue Cross celebrates its 15th annual Service Day, our company-wide day of volunteering. Service Day is a reflection of who we are. A community-minded organization committed to showing up, giving back, and making a lasting impact.

For 15 years, Service Day has brought that spirit to life, and our commitment to making a difference continues long after the day is done.  Since Service Day’s inception in 2011, Blue Cross has invested $12 million in our communities through 45,000 acts of volunteer service.

Named the most community-focused health care company in the U.S.

Service Day is the signature initiative of our award-winning corporate social responsibility program. By engaging employees through Service Day and year-round opportunities, we hope to match last year’s employee volunteer rate of 88%, which is four times greater than the corporate average.

In 2025, Blue Cross was named national health care sector leader and sixth-time honoree on The Civic 50, a list of the most community-focused companies in the U.S., according to Points of Light, a nonpartisan, global not-for-profit dedicated to volunteer service.

2025 Service Day Partners

Projects were held at our community partner sites, in our South Shore office and virtually.
