The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a national organization that evaluates the quality of health plans, consistently rates us Excellent. Recently, NCQA named us one of the highest-rated health plans in the country for quality in their Health Insurance Plan Ratings for 2018-2019, putting us in the top 10 percent of U.S. health plans for quality. NCQA awarded our Commercial HMO/POS plan and Commercial PPO plan a rating of 4.5 out of 5.(1)
Further, our Blue MedicareRx Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) received 5 Stars out of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the third year in a row, making us the top PDP plan in New England. Our Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO plans are high-rated plans at 4.5 Stars out of 5 Stars, which means that we’re also providing high-quality care for our Medicare members.(2)
U.S. News & World Report also named us best in the nation for our Medicare Advantage plan and Medicare Part D plan, making us one of only two health plans in the country to earn top marks in both categories.
